BISHOP JOHN FONZER
Suffragan Bishop John Fonzer is the father of 3 biological children and the grandfather of 9 grandchildren. He has been married to Pastor Valerie Fonzer since June of 1977.
Bishop Fonzer was called to pastor New Bethel in April of 2014. The former Sr. pastor of Christ Connection Ministries in Richmond IN for 24 years, he is the president of Soul Purpose Ministries International which oversees missions in three countries of Africa. There are presently several branches of the accredited Bible College [Elijah Institute of Ministry] To date, over three hundred students have graduated and been ordained to the ministry. There is also the mission school for children with an enrollment of 700 and counting.
The author of several books, Bishop Fonzer is a staff writer for Perspectives magazine, a publication of Indiana Bible College, a higher learning institution of the United Pentecostal Church International as well as other publications. Called to the ministry to ministers and leaders, he and his wife desire to restore fallen leaders by one day opening the Elijah House. He serves as a suffragan bishop in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World.
PASTOR VALERIE J. FONZER
A woman who cherishes strong family values and lifetime commitment Pastor Valerie Fonzer has been married to Bishop John Fonzer for 38 years. To their union are three adult children and the pride of her life, 9 grandchildren. She and her husband have pastored Christ Connection Ministries for 24 years and head a missions ministry that spans 3 countries of West Africa. The accredited classes are taught at about 15 locations. Hundreds of graduates have come through their Bible College [EIM] and have been sent out to preach the Gospel. Liberty Missions School for children [day care through high school] currently has upwards of 700 enrollees.
Having been saved nearly all her life, she is a committed Christian, a wonderful wife and family person, and a good citizen. She is the former deputy controller for the City of Richmond IN, has attended Indiana University and graduated with honors from IVY Tech.
